On 28th April 2025, a heartwarming chapter was written in the story of Lukosi Primary School—a chapter defined by compassion, unity, and a shared commitment to restoring dignity to every child.
The Lukosi Alumni Committee, deeply moved by the pressing needs of over 300 girls and 250 boys at the school, had been tirelessly seeking support to provide sanitary pads for girls and underwear for boys—basic yet essential items that impact both health and confidence. Despite their efforts, the Alumni were constrained by limited resources.

Then, through a valuable connection by one of the members, a light shone through. The committee was linked to the Mary Biketi Foundation, a partner in purpose and compassion.
On that day, Alumni Chairperson Gacheru Peter, Treasurer Janet Makokha, and Member Mushila Victor convened a pivotal meeting at Gem Suites Hotel, Nairobi, with Mary Biketi, founder of the Mary Biketi Foundation. She was accompanied by a representative of the Ali B Foundation, another organization committed to uplifting communities.
The 90-minute session was more than a formal meeting—it was a sincere dialogue driven by urgency and hope. The outcome? A promise of partnership. A promise of action. A promise of dignity.
Mary Biketi graciously pledged her support to make the 28th May 2025 initiative a success, aligning it with World Menstrual Day. The foundations expressed commitment not just to this event, but to future collaboration for the betterment of Lukosi Primary School in Trans-Nzoia County.
“Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act.” — Proverbs 3:27
This verse came alive that day.
What started as a plea for help became a powerful movement of giving back. The love and dedication of the alumni group, alongside the kindness of Mary Biketi and the Ali B Foundation, will forever be remembered by the children of Lukosi.
We invite you—fellow alumni, well-wishers, and partners—to join this mission. Together, we can uplift lives, restore dignity, and inspire the next generation.
Let’s stand united for Lukosi Primary School. Because every child deserves support. Every child deserves to be seen.
