On the sunny morning of February 26th, 2024, Lukosi Primary School welcomed one of its own—Mr. Chrispas Simiyu, the Chief Executive Officer of Reliance Electronics Co. Ltd.—for a heartfelt visit that was anything but ordinary.

Returning not just as a successful professional but as a proud alumnus, Mr. Simiyu was on a mission rooted in gratitude and community. As part of Reliance Electronics’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, he generously donated a 13kg cooking gas set along with packets of milk and sugar to the school. The gesture, though simple, carried deep meaning—a symbol of thanksgiving to the institution that laid his academic foundation.
But this wasn’t the first time Mr. Simiyu had shown his commitment to giving back. In 2023, his company played a key role as a supplier during Phase One of the School Electrification Project, a groundbreaking initiative funded and spearheaded by the Lukosi Alumni Group. Through this contribution, Reliance Electronics helped light up classrooms and dreams alike, bridging the gap between past, present, and future.
“It feels good to give back to the place that gave me so much,” Mr. Simiyu shared during his visit. “Lukosi taught us more than just academics—it taught us values. And today, I return with a heart full of thanks.”
His visit is a reminder of the power of staying connected, of lifting as we rise, and of the role alumni can play in shaping the next generation. From humble beginnings to CEO, Mr. Simiyu’s journey is an inspiration to current pupils and a proud moment for all Lukosi alumni.
As the aroma of shared memories and fresh milk filled the air, it was clear: Lukosi Primary is more than a school. It’s a family.
