Empowering Girls, Strengthening Communities—One Hygiene Pack at a Time

On a bright and hopeful afternoon of May 19th, 2025, the Lukosi Central committee gathered at Salvation Army Church, Lukosi for a spirited and focused meeting. With World Menstrual Hygiene Day just around the corner, the atmosphere was filled with purpose, unity, and a shared commitment to health, dignity, and empowerment.

This year’s Menstrual Hygiene Day (May 28th) is more than a calendar event for Lukosi. It is a promise—to restore dignity, shatter stigma, and ensure that no child misses school because of their period.

The initiative will impact over 500 boys and girls through sanitary pads, underwear distribution, and health services.

The Central Committee meeting, chaired by Moses Temoi, brought together alumni, teachers, church leaders, community health promoters, and stakeholders in a united effort.
